What is Yup Dduk?
Direct translation of Yup Dduk is ‘Bizarrely Spicy Rice Cakes’. Yup Dduk is one of the most popular restaurant brands in Korea, known to represent Korean street food all over the globe with over 500 locations worldwide.
Among many Korean street food brands, Yup Dduk developed to become a global brand due to its unique challenges of spiciness. This is the identity of our brand and we are proud to introduce you to the special experience.
What spicy level should I choose?
Start with Extra Mild if you are not good with spicy foods or if it is your first time.
If you love challenges and spicy food, we recommend the mild which is equivalent to spiciest Korean ramen you can buy at Asian markets (eg. Fire noodles with the black packaging).
Extra mild would be considered the regular spicy level of traditional Korean home cooking.
Why is it so spicy?
Yup Dduk uses very spicy natural chili peppers called ‘Ttangcho” directly sourced from Korea.

Rice cake is a traditional Korean food item made of condensed rice and wheat flour. Spicy rice cake’s main ingredients are: rice cakes, fish cakes, gochujang seasoning, scallion, cabbage and garlic.

Our main dishes are all family style. One Yup Dduk is about 2-3 adults serving.

Yes, all main dishes are made fresh to order using exclusive ingredients we source directly from Korea. Please allow at 15-20 minutes of cooking time per order for all of our family style main dishes.
